Dmytro Tupchiienko is an experienced criminal litigation professional. He specializes in white collar crime defense cases. Dmytro speaks fluently English and German enabling him to communicate directly with English and German speaking clients and provide legal advice in different jurisdictions.
He started his career in 1991 with Nigel Lawson's CE Trust and subsequently worked in consulting, insurance, investment banking, and asset management. Dmytro is a former senior Ukrainian civil servant. During his spell with Presidential Administration of Ukraine he wrote about 30 draft laws on several aspects of judicial reform. Dmytro is also an expert at the Council of Europe on the efficiency of justice and has over 10 years of experience as internal auditor and legal adviser with international development programs by USAID, OSCE, EuropAid and UNDP in Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe.
He is also a prolific legal writer having compelled several student textbooks and commentaries on Civil, Commercial and Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine. He is regularly quoted by Ukrainian media on legal matters pertaining crossborder issues.
Mr. Tupchiienko has participated in trainings on different forensic and intelligence aspects conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Defense and is a certified Asset Manager, Chartered Trust and Estate Planner.
He holds degrees from the London School of Economics and Cambridge University and is admitted to the Kyiv Regional Bar.
